Re: Tsunami and Earthquake relief aid in Japan
Dear friends and colleagues of the martial arts fraternity of South Africa
I am certain by now we all understand the extent of the damage caused by the Tsunami and Earthquake in Northern Japan.
World renowned disaster management organisation the GIFT OF THE GIVERS foundation have donated $30000 (USD) to Grandmaster Kanazawa's SKIF World Federation headquarters in Tokyo Japan for relief operations in the worst hit areas. The moneys will be used to buy and provide blankets and other emergency needs for the victims of the worst disaster in a 100yrs to hit Japan.
As a matter of interest Grandmaster Kanazawa's home town in the Iwate prefecture has been literally washed away and his brother who is a recognised doctor in the same area has taken the responsibility to supervise the relief work amongst the needy of this catastrophe.
As President of SKISA and on behalf of the Gift of the Givers Foundation may I appeal to you to kindly deposit whatever funds available into the Gift of the Givers account enabling them to continue to render this great service to humanity in this hour of need.
The following is the banking details of the Gift of the Givers foundation:
INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS [All projects outside of the African Continent]
Banking Institution : Standard Bank Branch : Pietermaritzburg Branch Code : 057525 Account Name : Gift of the Givers Foundation Account Number : 052278611
In addition may I inform you that a rescue team from the GOG org is ready to take off to embark on rescue operations as soon as the Japanese authorities give them the go ahead as currently they advise that the GOG team should exercise patience in view of the high risk.
I firmly believe that "Service to Man is Service to God"
Please give generously
